Transportation and lodging

Location

The workshop will be held in Room 330AB of Gatton Student Center of the University of Kentucky. We are located in Lexington, KY, the heart of the Bluegrass. An interactive map of the U Ky campus is here.

This map marks the Gatton Student Center, where we will hold the workshop, Jewell Hall, where some participants may stay, and Pazzo's, the local student pub where we will hold a no-host reception at 6 PM Sunday.

Air travel

Lexington's Blue Grass Airport has service by most major airlines. (Louisville KY is the nearest Southwest Airlines city.) From the airport take a Taxi/Lyft/Uber to your hotel.

University of Kentucky – Summer Conference Housing

Although commercial lodging is available near campus, we have made arrangements with university student housing to provide very affordable sleeping rooms in Francis Jewell Hall. The suites have two bedrooms, shared kitchenette, and a common bath. You can rent the entire private suite for $80/night or one of the bedrooms for $45/night. Registration is at this link. Food

The dorm rooms have a fridge and microwave. The nearest larger supermarket is the Kroger at 704 Euclid Ave., Lexington, KY 40502

The following are within a 5-10 minute walk from the student center. Other options are on the UK Dining page.

Champions Kitchen is a large food court inside the student center where we will meet. It is open 10:00am – 2:00pm.

Starbuck's is inside the student center

Pazzo's, 385 S Limestone, Lexington, KY 40508, is the student pub where we will have the Sunday evening reception.
